A Call To Live

Perspective is important.

I spent over half my life working for a large company, and while it provided me with many things, both financially and intellectually, an unexpected event forced me to take an extended leave of absence from that atmosphere, allowing me to take a step back and see my life differently. I had some time to really assess what is important and how I want my life to be.  Even though that career afforded me much and allowed me to be a stable provider for my family, it also had costs that could not be refunded, most important of those was time. Time is the greatest currency we have to spend and it is most definitely finite. Having spent so much already, I feel that it is now more precious than ever, so I decided to leave what I knew, for a new adventure in living.

Everyone is good at something, we all have at least one thing that we can confidently say we are "good at".  For me, it is driving or operating machinery.  I have always been able to become "plugged in" to things like they are extensions of my own body.  It feels natural.

I practically grew up in a garage, using tools and fixing everything myself, which is why I am also an avid DIYer.  I love to learn and try new things.  We learn so much through trying, and while the pain of that knowledge is failure, of which I've had much, I can comfortably say that my victories have outweighed my losses.

I also love science and technology, and to this day, I can still fall down the occasional rabbit hole reading about new science discoveries and tech breakthroughs.

Wrap all of that up and it's easy to see how a career in drone services and applications is a good fit for me.  I get to incorporate much that I love into my work and most of all, it allows me the flexibility of time that I didn't have before, allowing me to live a life more focused on what is truly important.
